Biography:
Archangel, whose real name is Warren Worthington III, is a prominent character in Marvel Comics, first appearing in *X-Men* #1 (1963). He is a mutant born with large feathered wings that allow him to fly.
Initially, Warren was a more naive and idealistic member of the X-Men. However, his character underwent a significant transformation after he was critically injured. The villain Apocalypse offered to save him, replacing his organic wings with techno-organic wings made of metal. This transformation turned him into Death, one of Apocalypse's Horsemen.
As Death, Archangel had a darker, more violent persona. Eventually, he overcame Apocalypse's influence and rejoined the X-Men. He is known for his internal struggles with the darkness within him and his powerful, razor-sharp metal wings.
